Beauty Executives Making Moves in March 2023

LVMH announced significant organizational changes within its Beauty Division, and the Bain Capital-backed global brand incubator Maesa deepens its commitment to transform and reorganize for the next growth phase by making more additions to the leadership team. Glossier has also strengthened its senior leadership team with three new hires to "better position the brand for market opportunities."Five executives at India's Nykaa have resigned. The Indian beauty company's latest departures happened amid intense competition and a falling stock price. Chief Commercial Operations Officer Manoj Gandhi, Chief Business Officer of fashion division Gopal Asthana, and Chief Executive Officer of wholesale business Vikas Gupta all left. Shuchi Pandya, a Vice President of Nykaa fashion division's Owned Brands business, and Lalit Pruthi, a Vice President of finance at the fashion unit, have also resigned.Stéphane Rinderknech has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Beauty Division in addition to his current responsibilities as head of LVMH Hospitality Excellence. He will have global responsibility for the Division, completing the reorganization of the Group by category. Maisons Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, LVMH Fragrance Brands (Parfums Givenchy and Kenzo) and Kendo will report to him directly.Véronique Courtois has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Parfums Christian Dior. She has been the head of Guerlain since November 2019.Gabrielle Saint-Genis Rodriguez succeeds Véronique Courtois as President and Chief Executive Officer of Guerlain. She has headed Make Up Forever since June 2019.
